Jack Saint Clair is a saxophonist, bandleader and music arranger based in Philadelphia. Jack fronts bands of all sizes with some of the finest freelance jazz musicians in the city-from smaller combos to his 17-piece jazz orchestra which rollicks through his sophisticated original arrangements. Jack has a passion for breathing life into the classic songs of the Great American Songbook, as well as keeping alive the rich tradition of original jazz music in Philadelphia.

 

Jack has written commissions for the Jazz Orchestra of Philadelphia under the direction of Terell Stafford, the Philly POPS, and the Temple University Jazz Ensemble. Outside of the big band world,  Jack is the music director of local swing dancer favorite Chelsea Reed and her  Fairweather Nine, and has penned string arrangements for the late Larry McKenna, his former teacher and friend (as recorded on their collaborative CD "World On A String").

 

In addition to performing and composing, Jack is an adjunct faculty member of the Boyer College of Music where he teaches arranging and leads the Temple University Lab Band.
